• Scan results: AI-generated responses, visibility scores, citation data, and sentiment analysis produced by our service.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, scan frequency, and interaction patterns within the dashboard.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies for analytics and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the BrandCitation service.
• Process AI visibility scans and generate reports.
• Send you scan completion notifications and weekly monitoring digests.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions via our payment provider (Polar.sh).
• Communicate about your account, including support responses.
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Third-Party Services

BrandCitation integrates with the following third-party services that may process your data:

• AI Engine APIs: We send prompts to Gemini, Perplexity, and OpenAI APIs to generate visibility reports. Prompts include your brand name and competitor names. We do not send personal account information to these services.
• Polar.sh: Handles subscription billing and payment processing. Polar receives your email and payment details directly.
• Resend: Delivers transactional emails (scan results, monitoring digests). Only your email address and scan summary data are passed to Resend.
• Vercel: Hosts the BrandCitation application. Standard server logs are collected by Vercel.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored on secure servers. Scan results and project data are retained for the lifetime of your account. You may delete your projects and associated data at any time from the dashboard. Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the service is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work properly.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We only share data with service providers as described in Section 3, and only to the extent necessary to provide the service.

BrandCitation is designed for brands in Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and other MENA markets. Your data may be processed on servers outside your country of residence. By using the service, you consent to such processing.
